Competency requirements in research information management and reporting: evidence from a national survey in Germany

Research information management (RIM) and reporting is an emerging, heterogeneous field of work for which there currently no systematic overview the performed tasks required competencies. Such would be valuable training, further education recruiting. This paper presents data on task areas competency requirements from a national survey personnel responsible RIM, CRIS in Germany (N =224). With help factor-analytical design, we were able to identify profiles, such as System development & modeling Communication with stakeholders. The profiles then compared model developed support recruiting research management. Implications are discussed.
